We Must Stop the GOP's Disastrous Budget
Republicans in Congress want to make life even harder for working families.
Republican Senators are planning to bring their budget reconciliation bill to a final vote.
They are trying their best to ram through this legislation that would steal health care and food assistance away from millions and give handouts to the wealthy, all so Trump can sign it into law before July 4th. But it’s not proving as easy as they hoped.
Over the last few days, Senate Republicans have faced several setbacks to their proposed cuts:
The Senate parliamentarian has ruled that some of the cuts cannot be passed through reconciliation
Several GOP Senators have gone on record with concerns about the Medicaid cuts as they stand
And voters are saying they disapprove of the Republican budget by massive margins in multiple recent polls.
Your stories, your voices, and your work to keep the pressure on Congress are all having an impact. But with Republicans trying to jam this bill through as fast as possible, there are only a few days left to stop them from passing these cuts that would devastate families.
Republicans in Congress want to make life even harder for working families in order to give their campaign donors huge tax breaks.
But the more they hear from their own constituents about what these cuts would mean to them, the more worried they are getting.

This bill will go back to Congress. We'll have to write and call them also..... I recently wrote my congressman and told him, the government will have to find another way to pay for the military because if they are going to activate them to stop protestors then I'm not paying for them with my taxes.
I sure hope this multi-group action (phone bank) is a signal that the national groups are working more collaboratively and will soon graduate to long-range goal and strategy planning.
