I am completely disgusted with this GOP regime...They don't want anyone who isn't voting for them to have any rights, especially voting rights! They like to try to make it sound nice by calling it the SAVE Act... I'm pretty sure that is short for....'Supressing American Voter Equality'!!!!!!!
Sooo true. They are really good at using language to their advantage. We MUST do the same. Why aren’t we calling it the SAVE AUTOCRACY ACT? That’s what it is.
Dealing with the GOP regime is like playing a game with a younger sibling, and so when they lose, they get mad, throw a tantrum, and change the rules of the game so they’re more likely to win the next round. If that doesn’t work, they keep moving the goal post again and again until they finally win on some basis that no longer even resembles the original game that was being played. Like sure, you won lil bro, but you won a mish-mash of a game that is no longer coherent or makes any sense.
If this does pass there needs to be a major fundraiser and women voter committee in each state that can finance and walk disinfranchised women through the new requirements process to ensure that every vote will truly count.

I think it's a little bit of everything but mainly Trump/MAGA, I'm from Southern Ohio/ TriState area and work in a rehab hospital in WV and almost every room usually has FOX News on🤮... I don't know if that and the disconnect will change if Medicare/Medicaid does get cut because that's a huge portion of our patients that will be affected.

Use this spreadsheet to call/email/write any of our representatives as often as possible. Not just your own state reps, reach out to those in other states. Be as loud as you can and share this. Use your voice and make some “good trouble.”

I called Josh Harder’s office today and he is definitely voting NO! (my Rep. thankfully is Jared Huffman, who is wonderfully progressive and definitely voting no on the Save Act).

I really can’t imagine the name change part for married women holding up in court. Maybe in Texas and Louisiana it would because of judges like Kasmerick, but not all of them are quite so wacko!
Members of Democrats Abroad are working hard contacting senators because if this passes it makes voting from abroad almost impossible with having to present documentation in person to register to vote.
